• Consider picking up your car in Emerald town instead of the airport. The rates are often lower, just be sure to factor in the taxi fare to get there.
• If you're visiting during the busy gem season (April to September), booking a couple of weeks ahead can save you from last-minute price hikes.
• Renting for 5 or 6 days? Always check the price for a full week. Sometimes the weekly rate is a better deal, which is a weird but true car rental quirk.
