Practical Tips

  • Use 112 for any emergency. Emergency responders speak English.
  • You must carry a reflective vest and warning triangle. Police can fine you if these items are missing.
  • Tap water is safe to drink. You can refill water tanks at campsites or marked city fountains.
  • Summer thunderstorms can cause flash floods in low areas and underpasses. Avoid driving through water that covers your wheel hubs.
  • From November to March, local authorities spread salt on roads. Rinse your motorhome often to prevent rust damage.
  • Mobile phone coverage is good on 4G networks. You can buy prepaid SIM cards at shops in Kraków Główny train station.
