The Swiss highway speed limit is 120 km/h (75 mph) unless signs show different limits.
You need a CHF 40 highway vignette before driving on any highway. Buy at the border, post offices or fuel stations and stick it on the windshield.
In towns the limit is 50 km/h (31 mph) and 30 km/h (19 mph) in many residential areas.
Winter tires are not required by law but police can fine you if you block traffic without them. Some mountain roads require snow chains when signs indicate this.
Zurich has many blue-zone parking areas. Display a free parking disc to show arrival time and move your vehicle after one hour (Monday to Saturday 08:00–19:00).
