EV Charging Stations in Detroit

In Detroit, public EV charging stations are generally located near entertainment venues, hotels, schools, supermarkets, and restaurants. Three examples of where you can find them:

• Red E Charge at Bagley Mobility Hub — 1501 Wabash St, Detroit, MI. A 32-stall site on the Michigan Central campus in Corktown, open 24 hours, with eight 120kW DC fast stalls and 24 Level 2 stalls at 19kW.²
• Red E Charge at Belmont Shopping Center — 1900 8 Mile Rd, Detroit, MI. Four DC fast stalls rated at 320kW on the city's northern edge, open 24 hours.³
• Huntington Place Washington Garage — 1 Washington Boulevard, Detroit, MI. Six EVO charging spots in the convention center's underground garage downtown, which holds 640 covered parking spaces across two levels.⁴

Detroit has no citywide average charging rate: public prices are set per station by each network. Electrify America, for example, prices DC fast charging by the charger's location, your plan and the amount of energy delivered, and shows the live price in its app or on the charger before you plug in⁵. Level 2 chargers are cheaper, and some are free.
