City speed limit is 50 km/h (31 mph) unless signs show lower speeds. Country roads are 80 km/h (50 mph) and motorways are 130 km/h (81 mph).
The Øresund Bridge uses drive-through toll booths. Pay by card or book online before your trip. No other toll roads exist around Copenhagen.
Copenhagen has a low-emission zone. Diesel engines must meet Euro 5 standards or newer. Keep your vehicle registration papers with you.
Parking zones become more restricted towards the city centre. Pay at machines or use the EasyPark or ParkMan mobile app. Parking fines are expensive.

The legal alcohol limit for drivers is 0.05% blood alcohol. Police conduct random roadside alcohol checks.
Overnight parking on Copenhagen streets is prohibited between 23:00 and 07:00 unless signs indicate otherwise. Fines start at 510 DKK.
Only the Storebælt and Øresund bridges charge tolls. A campervan under 6 metres pays approximately 280 DKK one way on the Øresund Bridge.
Summer daylight lasts up to 17 hours. In winter the sun sets before 16:00, so plan your driving times accordingly.
Strong coastal winds from October to April can affect cyclists. Give cyclists at least 1.5 metres (5 feet) of space when passing.
