• There were 4.53 million non-resident visitors before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019.
• The number of visitors fell to 1.40 million in 2020 and 2.12 million in 2021, due to the pandemic.
• Visitor arrivals almost doubled to 4.72 million in 2022, exceeding pre-pandemic levels.
• Colombia received 6.17 million tourists in 2023, a 30.7% rise from the previous year.

• Colombia welcomed 7.07 million visitors in 2024, reflecting a 14.6% increase compared to the previous year.
• This figure was approximately 56% higher than the 2019 pre-pandemic baseline of 4.53 million.

• The USA was the main source country of tourists to Colombia in 2025, with 1,187,660 visitors, followed by Mexico (413,486 visitors), Ecuador (324,581 visitors), Peru (251,557 visitors) and Venezuela (203,128 visitors).

• December, January and July were the peak months for international tourism in 2025.

• Tayrona National Natural Park: One of Colombia’s most iconic nature attractions, Tayrona combines Caribbean beaches, jungle trails, biodiversity, and Indigenous heritage near Santa Marta. The park recorded 830,326 visitors in 2025.
• Coffee Cultural Landscape / Eje Cafetero: Colombia’s Coffee Cultural Landscape is a UNESCO World Heritage site recognized as a sustainable, productive cultural landscape tied to the country’s coffee-growing heritage. It includes six farming landscapes and 18 urban centers in the Andean coffee region​.
• Bogotá’s historic and cultural core: Bogotá draws visitors to La Candelaria, Monserrate, Plaza de Bolívar, and the Gold Museum, which Colombia’s tourism site describes as one of the world’s largest collections of pre-Hispanic gold art and heritage.
• San Andrés and Providencia: San Andrés and Providencia islands are famous for turquoise sea and diving; San Andrés won “Leading Beach Destination” in Latin America in 2024.
