Greenville–Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) Statistics

GSP currently lists 30 nonstop passenger destinations, all within the United States.

• Current passenger airlines at GSP include Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Avelo Airlines, Breeze Airways, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines.
• Breeze Airways’ 2026 expansion brought the airport to 30 nonstop destinations.
• Breeze is listed as serving 10 destinations from the Upstate after the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky and Fort Lauderdale route announcement.
• GSP’s current passenger market list is domestic; cargo service should not be treated as scheduled passenger service.

Delta carried the largest BTS-reported passenger total at GSP, with 685,000 scheduled revenue passengers for March 2025 through February 2026.

• Delta led the carrier table with 685,000 passengers and a 23.04% share.
• PSA Airlines followed with 356,000 passengers, equal to an 11.95% share.
• Southwest Airlines handled 298,000 passengers, while American Airlines handled 277,000.
• Republic Airline carried 209,000 passengers, and all other carriers combined for 1.15 million passengers.

October was GSP’s busiest month in 2025, with 290,829 total passengers.

• The busiest months in 2025 were October with 290,829 passengers, July with 285,982, May with 281,771, June with 277,966 and August with 275,792.
• Summer traffic stayed strong, with June, July and August each above 275,000 total passengers.
• January and February were the year’s least busy months, with 196,548 and 196,207 total passengers.
• As of February 2026, GSP had reported 190,450 passengers in January and 202,671 in February.

GSP moved 64,593 tons of cargo in 2025.

• From 2014 to 2018, cargo volume nearly doubled from 30,713 tons to 59,488 tons.
• Pre-pandemic cargo stood at 57,309 tons in 2019.
• Cargo rose during the pandemic period to 65,255 tons in 2020 and peaked at 96,800 tons in 2021.
• Post-pandemic volume declined to 87,887 tons in 2022, 78,715 tons in 2023 and 62,340 tons in 2024.
• Cargo volume then increased to 64,593 tons in 2025.

GSP’s latest major completed project is Parking Garage C and the consolidated rental car facility, a $97 million project opened in 2025.

• Project WINGSPAN, the airport’s $127 million terminal improvement program, was completed in 2017.
• The airport opened a $33 million, 110,000-square-foot air cargo facility in September 2019.
• The Terminal Roadway Improvement Project was announced as an $18 million project expected to last 23 months.
• Parking Garage C and the consolidated rental car facility opened in December 2025, adding 750 public parking spaces and 750 ready-return rental car spaces.
• Runway 4/22 rehabilitation is scheduled for 2026 closures and includes repaving more than 6,500 feet of runway and 11,001 feet of shoulder and safety areas.
• Cerulean General Aviation opened its renovated and expanded fixed-base operator (FBO) terminal in 2025, bringing the terminal to more than 12,700 square feet.

GSP’s microgrid project is projected to go live in May 2027 with a 3-megawatt rooftop solar system and a 4-megawatt Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

• The microgrid will include rooftop solar on Garages A, B and C.
• The project includes interconnection with Duke Energy’s grid for net metering of up to 5 megawatts.
• The guaranteed maximum price is $26.6 million, with the District’s project budget approved at $27.5 million.
• The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Air Handling Unit Replacement Project has a $2.6 million budget and is designed to improve terminal energy efficiency.
• The Terminal Glass Replacement Project has a $10 million budget and replaces older airside terminal glass systems with newer, more energy-efficient glass.
