Gulf Air led Bahrain International Airport’s passenger airline table in 2025, carrying 6.57 million passengers.

• Gulf Air carried 6.57 million passengers in 2025, accounting for 67% of total passenger traffic in the report’s top-airline table.
• Air Arabia ranked second with 376,489 passengers, followed by flydubai with 323,514.
• Emirates and Qatar Airways handled 304,267 and 293,095 passengers respectively, placing both at approximately 3% of total traffic.
• Other airlines in the official ranking carried 917,193 passengers (9% of total traffic); airlines outside the ranked table account for approximately a further 10% of total airport traffic.

August was Bahrain International Airport’s busiest month in 2025, with 951,795 total passengers.

Bahrain International Airport handled 405,217 tonnes of cargo and mail in 2025, the highest full-year total in the official 2014–2025 series.

• Cargo and mail moved from 276,390 tonnes in 2014 to 291,019 tonnes in 2019, with volumes broadly stable around the high-200,000 tonne range before the pandemic.
• Unlike passenger traffic, cargo and mail increased during 2020, reaching 300,205 tonnes.
• Cargo and mail continued rising after the pandemic, reaching 325,801 tonnes in 2021 and 380,414 tonnes in 2022.
• After easing to 353,542 tonnes in 2023, cargo and mail rebounded to 392,811 tonnes in 2024 and 405,217 tonnes in 2025.
• As of January 2026, the airport handled 31,281 tonnes of total cargo, up 7% from January 2025.
