• The airport generated €198.8 million in revenue in 2024, a 19.3% increase from 2023, aligned with passenger growth.
• Revenue in 2023 was €166.6 million, up 14.9% from 2022, which had seen €145 million in turnover as recovery began.

• April 27, 2021: A serious runway incursion occurred when an ASL Airlines Belgium Boeing 737-400 began takeoff while a runway inspection vehicle was still on the runway. The aircraft became airborne just 300 meters before reaching the vehicle.
• June 26, 2023: A near-miss involved a Ryanair Boeing 737 on final approach and an Azores Airlines Airbus A321neo lined up on the same runway. A go-around maneuver was required to avoid a collision.
