Albany International Airport’s largest current capital project is a $100 million main terminal expansion that remained under construction as of February 2026.

• Work continued across the Departure Hall in February 2026, including the signature ceiling feature, new terrazzo flooring, upgraded elevators and escalators, and a future connection to the North Parking Garage.
• Several new passenger amenities had already opened by that point, including the Adirondack Imaginarium children’s play area, the Sensory Room and the renovated Business Center.
